This project involves the construction of a new Metrobus Service Centre on Armand-Viau Street in Quebec City. The Centre will handle the new articulated buses that will be put into service in the summer of 2009. It will be a green building for which LEED® certification is being sought so construction methods, construction work, products, and systems must comply with relevant LEED® criteria.

Pomerleau's scope of work includes architectural, landscaping, mechanical, and electrical. The Centre will include administrative offices, a bus maintenance garage and a a storage area.

The building will be more than 17,000 m2 with a steel frame clad in prefabricated metal panels and curtain wall. The garage sector will be equipped with a paint room, vehicle lifts and a hydraulic parallelogram lift. There will also be routine maintenance facilities, including vacuum cleaning, bus-wash and pressure wash systems.

Outside, an area will be fit up as a bus fuelling station.

This project is being carried out over a 12-month period, with delivery scheduled for May 2009.
