The company Quebecor had to expand its head office to relocate the staff from a building that was demolished to make room for the new CHUM's Research Centre (CRCHUM).
Pomerleau was awarded this mandate for the construction of this new 19-storey, 16,500-m2 office tower with underground parking. The new building is next to the existing Quebecor Head Office building and a new lobby connects both buildings between Notre-Dame and St-Jacques Streets.
Coordination of deliveries and equipment was a challenge in itself as there was no room to manoeuvre and the surrounding streets are major arteries. With Pomerleau's extensive experience on sites of this nature, the team had little problem overcoming this logistical challenge.
Quebecor then prolonged Pomerleau's mandate by adding the tenant fit-up program, including a board room. Pomerleau was also responsible for the renovation of a part of the existing tower (75%).
