Jean Coutu Pavilion
Now that this new pavilion (16,471 m2) is completed, the Faculty of Pharmacy can admit more undergraduate students and answer the increasing need for more pharmacists in the community, in health care institutions and in private industry. The Faculty will also be able to admit more Master’s and doctoral students and offer continuing professional development to a larger number of pharmacists. More than 1,200 professors, researchers and students will enjoy the advantages of state-of-the-art facilities in a stimulating environment for teaching, research and development.
Marcelle Coutu Pavilion
With a total surface area of 19,672 m2, the Marcelle Coutu Pavilion is home to the new Immunovirology and Cancer Research Institute. This Institute will provide the University of Montreal with facilities in which to expand and continue research activities, contribute to the advancement of knowledge in these areas and take an active part in the development of immunotherapies and vaccines.
This 4-storey building will house 30 laboratories and related facilities and offer 400 people – 20 internationally respected researchers and their teams- a pleasant and inspiring environment for research, creativity and innovation.
The two pavilions are linked together by a large atrium and to the Main pavilion through a network of inside passageways facilitating access to a number of shared services.
