A leading manufacturer of sterilization systems for medical equipment, Stéris Canada also supplies technology for health care as well as scientific, alimentary and industrial research worldwide.
Pomerleau was mandated to deliver the following:
- Construction of a new plant (more than 14,000 m2) to bring all of Stéris activities under one roof.
- Installation of a steam and electrical network with 50 and 60 Hz cycles to test the sterilizers.
- CPVC pipes were installed to recover the +/- 64 ºC water used for certain tests, sending it first to a reservoir and then to an energy recuperator.
- Parking lot for 400 vehicles.
The building also houses offices, a manufacturing and assembly facility and a warehouse and shipping area with 7 loading docks.
Constructed of prefabricated Murox panels, the building’s front façade is enhanced with curtain-walls.
