The different buildings that form the Cité du Multimédia are home to companies active in the domains of information technology and multimedia.

The project was built in three phases, each corresponding to a different block in this city within a city. The buildings have surface areas varying between 12,000 and 42,000 m2. Parking facilities were also constructed.

Some of the Cité’s buildings are connected to the thermal power station of the Corporation de chauffage urbain de Montréal via underground pipelines that supply hot and iced water.

Computer controlled air conditioning and heating systems keep the ambient temperature, humidity and air quality at optimal levels, creating a comfortable, healthy working environment;reducing energy consumption; and lowering maintenance costs for the electromechanical systems.
