Pomerleau began construction of Le Georgesville in May 1988 and it opened officially in April 1989. Since that time, the firm has completed three additional contracts.
Focused on attracting the business and tourist markets, the 9-floor hotel offers 99 spacious guest rooms, 48 of them Executive, and 7 suites, Relaxarium, aquatic centre, restaurant, bistro and a 300-vehicle parking lot.
The building sits on 10,100 m2 of land and has a gross surface of 9,181 m2. The structure is two-way reinforced concrete slabs clad in concrete bricks. There is a central electrical heating and air-conditioning system.
In 1993, Pomerleau constructed the Aquatik Club, offering guests an indoor pool, whirlpool and steam bath, and the children’s recreational centre. Pomerleau also rebuilt the conference centre. Originally 6 meeting rooms with a capacity of 20 to 40 people, it now provides 15 fully soundproofed multipurpose rooms, one of which can accommodate 600 people.
In 1994, Pomerleau fit up premises for The Investors Group.
Renovated by Pomerleau in 2002, the Point Virgule Bistro increased its seating capacity from 45 to 70. The firm also renovated the Point Virgule Restaurant, a gourmet’s paradise with seating for 120.
