To better serve the needs of the student population in the area, the School Commission decided to construct a new, modern high school and contracted Pomerleau to deliver the project.
The new high school has a surface area of 9,000 m2 divided over two floors. The facility includes offices, classrooms, biology and chemistry laboratories, specialized classrooms for teaching cultural arts and a cafeteria. The sports facility offers a gymnasium, semi-Olympic swimming pool and a skating rink. The pool and skating rink are shared with the City of Val-Bélair.
