At Pomerleau, we are a multidisciplinary team, employing motivated, dynamic people in various fields:
Project Management
Our Project Managers represent the company and are responsible for project planning, schedule, budget, and legal and financial aspects. Working closely with the superintendents, they direct the smooth progress of the construction process, every step of the way. They are usually supported by Assistant Project Managers.
Construction Engineering
Our Site Engineers and Electromechanical Coordinators are responsible for closely managing schedules, optimizing construction steps, formulating work methodologies, performing quality control of the work, planning the installations of the various specialized building mechanical systems and supervising start-ups.
Estimation
Our Estimating teams are composed of a Chief Estimator, Senior Estimators and Estimators. These teams are primarily responsible for preparing contract bid files and supporting the project management function by preparing specific budgets.
Superintendence
Our Superintendents are responsible for managing operations on construction sites. They supervise the site personnel, coordinate the various subcontractors, and ensure productivity and compliance with the health and safety rules. On some projects, the Superintendents are supported by Forepersons or Crew Chiefs.
Carpenters-Joiners
Carpenters and labourers perform the hands-on construction work required to advance the project.
Administrative Support
Administrative personnel are responsible for assisting the managers or teams to which they are assigned with managing correspondence, communications and various files.
Accounting
The Accounting Department handles budget, financial statements, bookkeeping, payments, billing and cost control, all in accordance with currently accepted accounting practices.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department handles recruiting, continuing professional development, payroll, salary administration and organizational development. Staff members also act in an advisory capacity to all personnel, particularly team managers.
Health and Safety
The Health and Safety Department is responsible for keeping a watchful eye on our operations to ensure that the industry’s highest health and safety standards are always respected.
Information Technologies
The Information Technologies Department is responsible for making certain that all the computer, electronic and technological needs are met to ensure maximum efficiency in our operations.
Communications and Market Development
The Communications and Market Development Department prepares all the information materials needed to turn potential clients into actual clients. It is also responsible for producing all the company’s internal communications materials.
Logistics – Purchasing – Transportation – Equipment
The Logistics Department is responsible for supplying all our sites with construction materials, equipment, tools and miscellaneous items.
