At Pomerleau, we believe in the importance of diversifying our perspectives, and are keen to develop our expertise. These elements are at the heart of our growth strategy from coast to coast.

With this in mind, we are making two appointments, including the addition of a woman to the Executive Committee.

Legal expert Sophie Morin is Pomerleau's new Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer. She is one of two women currently on the Executive committee. In 2018, Morin joined Pomerleau as Senior Legal Counsel and was quickly promoted to Director and then Vice-President – Legal Affairs and Operations. In her new role, Morin will integrate the corporate law, ethics and compliance, and governance teams. Her cutting-edge knowledge in managing agreements for major infrastructure projects will assist Pomerleau in the next phase of its growth.

Alternative Projects and Technical Center of Expertise (APEX) leader Pierre Lafond has been appointed as Executive Vice-President-APEX. Already a member of the executive committee, his promotion is a natural progression supported by his various contributions to Pomerleau over the years. Since joining Pomerleau in 2016, Pierre has developed and grown the entire APEX team, in charge of putting together proposals and winning alternative projects, while controlling the associated risks. His vision for complex projects is grand, and we are excited to see where he takes Pomerleau.

From our perspective, when change occurs, it means we are doing something right. The promotions of these two team members are a welcome development that we know will contribute to the future successes of Pomerleau.
